I WORK ON COOL SH*T EVERYDAY
Who doesn’t like movies? Or short films, game cinematics, episodic TV series or even commercials (the good ones)? I do and I worked in all those fields before. Below you can check out a few of my most recent projects.
I ♡ WHAT I DO
By far the best part of the job is to craft the finished frame you see on screen. It’s a fantastic mix between art and creative problem-solving. Interacting with almost every upstream department and combining all elements into a seamless and believable picture is a very rewarding task.
Building tools, templates and gizmos is a big part of why enjoy my job so much. It represents my technical side and is balancing out the artistic aspects perfectly. While making my job easier, it let’s me help others at the same time! Also it encourages me to keep learning constantly.
It’s a great feeling to be involved in something that is bigger than the sum of it’s parts. Making movies is a massive team effort that requires hard word and often long hours. But seeing something on screen, something that you helped creating – makes the process more than worth it.
I WRITE STUFF (RARELY)
Here you can read about my personal journey and career as well as movies and random cool-ish stuff. If you’re interested in learning compositing head over to VFXBOOTCAMP.COM for my tutorials, workflow articles and more.
These are some of my ‘side projects’ I work on from time to time (out of many, maybe too many to be honest). Feel free to check them out…
WHERE I’VE BEEN & WHY
I have and still do work for several of the coolest companies on the planet. But even more importantly: I’m privileged to do so with awesome teams of some of the best artists and technicians in the industry – a few of them even became great friends. So far my journey took me to 5 cities in 3 countries across 2 continents.
While the job of a compositor / comp-td is comparable between companies, every one of my career-steps has been special in its own right and I wouldn’t want to miss a single one.
